Sweetness is a word that is hard to describe. It’s a pleasurable, rich, aromatic experience.

I would encourage you to  let your words be sweet to hear, sweet to taste, sweet to swallow and sweet to remember.

The more we live a life of perfection, yes perfection, as life comes to us not past nor future but now; one with joy in the midst of hardship, hope that is living, one of peace; the more we will learn to be sweet. Phew long sentence but necessary.

I hope you see the sweetness in life.

Here are a few things [in no specific order] to help you make sure your life is filled with sweetness.

  • Be Sweet in your language; don’t be vulgar
  • Be cheerful; try not to have too many pity parties
  • Be courteous to the point you will ask people how they are doing and mean it
  • Be grateful  in all things
  • Be humble you aren’t better than another individual
  • Be loving
  • Be self aware
  • Be sensible
  • Be trustworthy
  • Be a good listener less talk
  • Be respectful and treat people as you wish to be treated

My wish for you today; Stay Sweet!

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

“Behave so the aroma of your actions may enhance the general sweetness of the atmosphere.”  Henry David Thoreau

“Gratitude is the sweetest thing in a seeker’s life- in all human life. If there is gratitude in your heart, then there will be tremendous sweetness in your eyes.”  Sri Chinmoy, The Jewels of Happiness: Inspiration and Wisdom to Guide Your Life Journey

As we become purer channels for God’s light, we develop an appetite for the sweetness that is possible in this world.  A miracle worker is not geared toward fighting the world that is, but toward creating the world that could be.  Marianne Williamson

World Poetry Day is on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999.

The purpose of the day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world.

Here is my most Recent Poem.

Some say this is it

i say

i accept the promise

from the creator

the divine,

bathing in segments

of the heavenlies

day by day

but someday

release mortality

like a shredded garment,

leaning into life

but someday

takes on immortality,

stepping stones of life

health to sickness

but someday

victory in face of death,

invisible qualities of heaven

reside in my inner sanctum

often kisses eternity

the twinkle in my eye

anticipate partaking

the illumination of the glory,

someday i shall embrace

Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas Now!

While we are participating in our traditions and celebrations let’s take a moment to pray for those less fortunate.  Also take the time to donate, give, do random acts of kindness and make someone’s Christmas in your community.  I am sure you are doing just that..

It doesn’t appear that I will get what I hoped for [Yet] with regard to relationships/parents/siblings but my children and grandchildren will be around me at different times during this Christmas season AND for that I am eternally grateful. I so love my children and grandchildren.

Merry Christmas

Christmas can be a season of great joy and rejoicing.

It is a time of God showing His great love for us.

It can be a time of healing and renewed strength.

For me, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child.

One thing I know for sure Christmas is Love, Life, Laughter, Kindness, Compassion, Thanksgiving and Peace and that special cloak/presence of God I cannot explain!
