In a time
That oft is toxic
Depressing –
Surrounded by
So much Tragedy
And violence –
Negative vibes and words
Our Thoughts
Affect us on every level
Of our existence –
Naturally weighs heavily
On our psyche, Our spirit,
Our soul.

This Toxic corrosive weed- similar to an unwanted weed in a garden-
Unexpectedly changes you
Like a virus and makes one sick.

If you take control you will gain the upper hand and regain your balance.

The taking control or
Detoxification Process:

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you.

Don’t worry about the toothpick in a brother’s eye concentrate on removing the telephone pole in your own eye.

Choose – We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.

Take total responsibility for our attitudes. Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.

Purposely think and utilize Positive emotions – like joy, contentment, inspiration.

Nurture Gratitude – takes nothing for granted and you will constantly awaken to new wonder.

Recognize the Love of The creator God in everything He has given us – and He has given us everything.
Every breath we draw is a gift of Love.

Offer the Grace card
I promise to pray for you every day
Ask for forgiveness
Grant you the Same
And be your friend always.

Be kind – with zero zip zilch non naught nil agenda –  just cause.

Giving Spirit –
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.

Happy New Year

Deana Hoyles – “Kindness”

It’s been a difficult few weeks..No signs of drastic improvement but there is change so for that I am most grateful.  This lull that I have felt has pulled me in once again with reflection.

What is it I really need in this life?

Whom shall I talk to to unload this burden?

Where shall I run for solace?

Where shall I Run

Where should I run?

In that moment

of encumbrance

when faith would wane

grapple with grace

and wonderment

i want to run away,

where too should i run?

i shall run to you

to silence

near the fountain of all being

at the fane

where wizards of wonderment

and wisdom are free

grand graces grow

by a-mazing voyage

i run to the centre

of who i am –

whiteWhat-will-be not what-if!

So easy to get stuck in the what ifs!

It is much more difficult to move past being stuck and make change.

Have a little faith in yourself and the creator who made you perfect.

Oh yes I hear you – sometimes our actions aren’t in line with the perfect that we ought to be.

Stop dead in your tracks and walk in the path of what will be.

What will be or what if:

  • Don’t dwell on the past and do not worry too much about the future; just…be.
  • Looks at obstacles in a different light.  Face the things that aggravate you square in the face; don’t let it block your vision.
  • What if…?” in a negative way, we’ll place ourselves in the mindset for failure.
  • If you continue to seek out the negative in something before you go through with it, you’re always going to place yourself in that mindset of failure. It is ok to take precaution in projects but being paranoid is another. There is a balance.
  • What if’s give no comfort has zero quantity and quality value.
  • No matter what happens, take it with a grain of salt.
  • Embrace the now and the fears and let it all go.
  • Accept imperfections. Was there something standing in your way; try looking at things in a different viewpoint.
  • Meditate; believe me it destroys stress.
  • When you see death look at life.
  • You cannot change the past but you can change the future.
  • Enjoy your day.
  • It’s okay to listen to your heart take a risk move forward; don’t worry.
  • Remember Love.
  • Just BE!

I am so blessed I got to speak to you today.

Never give up on your dream…because you never know what the Creator can bless you with. Yeah

what if

Day 30 of my 30 Day Thankfulness Challenge; I am thankful for the God’s Majesty, Protection and Care . 😀

I often forget and bring God down to my level. God is above me and God deserves my worship yet God meets me/us where we are. God’s majesty is amazing. God the creator is not like us — God is not limited like we are in wisdom, in presence, in power, in God’s effectiveness. God is Eternal, Infinite, Almighty. The creation and beauty of the universe is boundless.

The Psalmist said, “The heavens declare the glory of God”

On March 23, 1743, when “The Messiah” was first performed in London, the king was present in the great audience. When the majesty of the Lord was proclaimed by the words of the Hallelujah Chorus, “For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth”, everyone was so deeply moved that they rose as one to their feet–including the king.

Matthew said, “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Omniwisdom,is that word? But God is all wise. God is wisdom and God is infinite which makes God infinitely wise.

By God’s power God made the earth, by God’s wisdom set the world firm, and discernment spread out the heavens. But in God there is wisdom, and power too, and good counsel no less than discretion Which God has given to us so fully and freely.

It is my believe that Man is not just an efficient animal; he was made by an act of God, and made in the image and likeness of God! As well Psalm 139 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made….

I like what David said in his Psalm the way that he begins it: “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!”

God cares for you copy

Knowing the majesty of God, still I often falter in my humanity.
While there are many today have to deal with cancer, serious diseases and the like I only had to deal with a colonoscopy and the two day pre-cleansing procedure; I was at first very nervous for the unknown. I looked at the procedure through the eyes of previous gone-wrong surgeries, anesthesia problems, intravenous problems, resulting nervous and cold response. Yes cold, have you ever been cold in surgery?

Still vivid in my mind was an emergency c-section and subsequent surgery; anesthesia was given but I felt every pain, I heard the doctors joking, I was screaming to the top of my lungs inside but on the outside I was not moving. The only way I could describe the surgery was the beginning of an endless nightmare.

Believe it or not a simple colonoscopy became major for me today. I reminded the anesthetist about the incident and must say they were very kind and concerned about my apprehension.

I literally had to ask people to pray for peace for me. I had no concerns about the procedure’s outcome only the actual procedure. While in my room I prayed that God would calm me and began trusting God afresh.

Thank God things went fairly well and I truly felt God’s peace and warmth. There were also many volunteers and nurse nightingales there as well. God had it all under control with some of the most compassionate people to relieve my fears. In spite of the many things that are questionable in hospitals there is a lot good that goes on there and a lot of staff whose gentleness is prevalent.

Pertienent Quotes:

Cast all of your cares upon Him.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanks-giving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Don’t stress about it; pray about it!

“Is any merry? Let him sing psalms.”

The Majesty of God’s Rule The LORD is king, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved; your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances; To seek Him, the greatest adventure; To find him, the greatest human achievement. Augustine

Thank you for reading my bLoG!

May you have a safe and wonderful Weekend!

Day 21 of my recent 30 Day Thankfulness Challenge; I am thankful for Servicemen and Women .  😀

On Remembrance Day I wrote a piece in honor of all their service for our country. However I would like to repeat some of those thoughts again here in my 30 Day Thankfulness Challenge.

I truly am thankful and feel I am ultimately blessed because of the sacrifice of so many women and men who gave their lives willingly for our freedom.

I am so thankful to my brothers, nephews, cousins, uncles, great uncles and aunts and friends that went to war, peacekeeping and other duties to keep us safe. Their untold stories are our public privileges. God Bless Them eVery oNe!

The after effects of these brave soldiers have been traumatic for many of them. Others never came home.

Let’s keep our country safe. I hear too many stories of soldiers coming home to nothing but pain, sorry and poverty. This is just not good enough. Many have come back suffering with PTS and other serious problems.

May we not see any soldier in need and without warmth and love and shelter and food and anything they may need. Let’s find ways to look after them in their need at home.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest we Forget

Day 21 Poppies

“You may think the President is all powerful, but he is not. He needs a lot of guidance from the Lord.” ~ Barbara Bush

Iregardless of our views on wars and the reasons of wars; the fact remains soldiers serve their country.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Day Three of my 30 days of thankfulness.

I am thankful for daughter #1  a musically, beautiful, talented and intense individual who speaks her mind.

She has travelled a dark road but had made some impressive changes. A very caring individual presently dealing with illness that seems unable to be totally diagnosed.

Daughter #1 is going through a metamorphosis and I have faith that some wonderful things is happening in the secret compartments of her heart.

She is filled with love and fun and you know when she enters a room.

A person of sensitive qualities and potential you wouldn’t believe.  She has a contagious laughter and is fast learning about being a wonderful auntie.

Pertinent quote for today:

Spiritual growth depends on two things: first a willingness to live according to the Word of God; second, a willingness to take whatever consequences emerge as a result. Sinclair B. Ferguson

* Daughter #1’s favorite song is Great is Thy Faithfulness and I honor her today with a couple of verses as well if you would take a moment click on the photo below and you will be directed to Israel Houghton singing that same song.

Hope you enjoy it.

“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
